The Whistle Stop Café in Rockledge is truly one of my favorite hidden gems. Located off Rockledge Drive, overlooking the beautiful Indian River. The scenic views and relaxed outdoor seating make it such a peaceful place to sit, unwind, and watch walkers, cyclists, and pups pass by. It’s quaint, charming, and is a breath of fresh air and the perfect getaway. Charity, the owner, is always smiling and has the most welcoming and kind spirit. She and her staff make you feel right at home the moment you walk in. Chef Maggie brings incredible culinary talent to life with homemade meals that are clearly made with love. The fried green tomatoes are my absolute favorite! If you’re looking for delicious food, warm hospitality, and a cozy riverside vibe, this little café is a must-visit.
Cute and charming brunch spot with a wonderful small town feel. The owner herself was at the counter and greeted us most sweetly. The food was delicious and most picturesque. We will definitly be coming back here. Not the mention an ocean view right from our brunch table. In love with this little spot.
This is a simply delightful little breakfast place. It has the feel of being at home, waiting for whomever is cooking that day, to serve you a delicious just-made breakfast. Everything is totally fresh and at a more than reasonable price. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend it.
Stopped in for a late lunch at this adorable spot on the river. Cherity and Christopher whipped up a fresh, unique and delicious meal for my sisters and I. The fried green tomatoes sandwich with bacon was fabulous! Lemon chicken rice soup so good! Everything made in house. Highly recommend. We will be back! The hosts were both so welcoming too💓
I’m hesitant to write this review because it’s a hidden gem and I wanna keep it to myself !! But, they deserve all the love and all the accolades. The place is super quaint, in an amazing location with yummy food. They are very attentive and truly treat you like family from the moment you walk in the door. This place is amazing, let's start with the greeting we got walking in the door, Cherity, the owner is genuinely kind and warm, the sweetheart mimosas are delicious! The biscuits and gravy are to die for, we also ordered the bourbon berry French toast and let me tell you, just get it! The location is beautiful near the water! I will be back all the time to try everything on the menu!
What a peaceful place to get some work done. Right in the water, you can eat indoors or on the small porch outback. Loved the name of this place after watching Fried Green Tomatoes so many times. I felt like Towanda out here working like a boss and enjoying the nice breeze. The fried green tomato sandwich was so good. I also enjoyed some fresh squeezed strawberry lemonade. Perfect pairing…. Just like the friendship between Idgie Threadgoode and Ruth. This stop, at the Whistlestop, was just right for an enjoyable, relaxing afternoon. Quaint and quiet.
